Sipping shake in China Town

Trying to escape from the normal movie-dine-date routine, we decided to head off to China Town. Hubby likes old places. It was just unfortunate for us that it was hot that day and after 15 minutes of wandering around we had to take refuge at the nearest shop we can find, so we headed to Seattle's Best.

To take off the heat, we got Avocado Milkshake for me and Java Chip for Hubby. Their Avocado Milkshake is just awesome. Too bad it's a seasonal drink :(

We milked what we paid for the drinks and stayed there for almost an hour before setting off to the town's busy streets. Since we had to continuously fan ourselves during the trip, Hubby was just able to take very few pictures. But not to worry, we plan on going there again, this time to taste some Chinese cuisine :)

Come visit China Town, just be sure your feet are ready for long walks. :)

Bread Love

Breads from BreadTalk are heaven made :) Tho a bit pricey, every bite's worth it. BreadTalk's been expanding their business here and almost all the big malls got a branch. They've opened recently at Market! Market! so Hubby and I, after a long and tiring window shopping, went in and grab breads and a cup each of their hot Belgian chocolate.

The one on the right is called 'Rise and Shine'. It's more like a toast with cheese, bacon and egg on. The other one I forgot to take note of the name. It's got sweet vanilla tasting cream in the middle.

Personally I prefer cold drinks but I don't know if this branch only serves hot or they've ran out of cold the time we went there. Since Hubby wanted something to drink and they've ran out of coffee as well (wow, they've got a lot of customers here :p ) we took hot choco instead.

Other branches like the one in Trinoma offers several hot and cold drinks, and if you're looking for a place to sit and have coffee or chocolate without spending too much, you can go sip on one of them offerings for as low as P60. :) Oh, and they have yummy looking cakes too!

Since we love green tea, we tried their Green Tea Chocolate cake which looked very luscious. Fair warning: if you don't like tea, don't order this one. It's too "leafy" tasting even for us.

Haven't tried BreadTalk yet? Visit them and indulge :)
